“I see the disinfectant that knocks it out in a minute, one minute,” Trump said during Thursday’s coronavirus press briefing. “And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside, or almost a cleaning? Because you see it gets inside the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it would be interesting to check that.”
The question, which Trump offered unprompted, immediately spurred doctors, lawmakers and the makers of Lysol to respond with incredulity and warnings against injecting or otherwise ingesting disinfectants, which are highly toxic.
“I was asking a question sarcastically to reporters like you just to see what would happen,” Trump said.

Trump has a priority, keeping the economy running and avoiding economic losses as a result of this pandemic.
From the start, he has not ceased to demand a policy allowing at the same time the prevention, the treatment and the maintenance of economic activity. he was the only hope to keep the country open.
Today with the catastrophic increase in the number of deaths, and the prolonged closure of much of the country, there is only that kind of talk for surfing.

As for Trump's decision and stances during this outbreak...I really don't know what to comment.
On one hand, there is the incredibly sluggish response which helped the virus spread over the now heavily hit states such as New York for example. Evidence mounts over and over how scientists and teams tried warning the administration, yet they were more busy with something else.
When the virus became a more tangible threat, they acted. Even then, it was a somewhat ineffective and disgruntled response, forcing the States' own governments to act on their own.

Yes, I agree with it. I have seen the first American president who doesn't care what the media may think. He only answers, when he wants to. I think all American presidents should have guts like him. After all, he is the president of United State, and should have some liberty in every scenario option to some extend.

Yes, but he is not solely responsible for it. Actually, duty of the president is to make decisions about the certain things. He is not obliged to sense threats as there are huge departments with thousands of employees for it, such as the CIA and other administrative units. I think its CIA that actually failed to sense the magnitude of the threat. If they really know what is going to happen, they must let the president know about it.
