BBC: More than 150 different drugs are being researched around the world. Most are existing drugs that are being trialled against the virus.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has launched the Solidarity trial aimed at assessing the most promising treatments

The UK says its Recovery trial is the the world's biggest, with more than 5,000 patients already taking part
And multiple research centres around the world are attempting to use survivors' blood as a treatment

All I can say is that it can't be soon enough. People are dying and the figures keep crowing... it now seems to be a race against time. I do think that they will come up with a cure for the virus ... just not so confident about a quick timeline.

Unfortunately all the drugs offered so far have not proven their effectiveness and tolerance.
The first results of the large discovery study speak of an unacceptable toxicity for remdesivir and an ineffectiveness for hydrxychlroquine.
